UGEP MARKET FIRE: Debra Rich Donates to Victims. Following the inferno that hit parts of the Ugep main market in the early hours of Saturday, 15 April, the CEO, Debbies Entertainment Productions and Debra Table Water Company, Mr. Debra Rich Ikpi made a donation of ₦100,000 in cash to owners of the shops that were consumed by the fire. Making the donation which he called "Widow's Might", Mr. Debra encouraged the victims not to lose hope in the face of adversity while waiting on God. "I pray that God sends you more destiny helpers so that in the end, his name will be glorified" said the Donor who didn't want the news of the event to go public. Receiving the gift, the leader of the group appreciated Mr. Debra and heaped praises on him as he prayed more blessings come his way in the future. The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has been caught in a web by social media users and majorly Supporters of the Labour Party Candidate Peter Obi. In a statement dated 11 November, 2022, via their verified Twitter handle, INEC responded to allegations about plans to boycott transmission of results directly from polling units to the INEC portal, IREV. According to the statement, INEC reassured Nigerians that results will be transmitted from polling units. “The Commission has repeatedly reassured Nigerians that it will transmit results directly from the polling units as we witnessed in Ekiti and Osun States’ Governorship elections.” Netizens are now saving the tweet and statement as well as urging many more to save so as to have evidence against INEC. A fresh 7.5 magnitude earthquake has hit southeast Turkey. This follows a 7.8 magnitude earthquake which devastated parts of Northwest Syria and Turkey on Sunday. AfroBeats ambassadors Burna Boy and Tems were up for the Grammy Awards last night having been nominated in different categories. Tems was nominated for the 'Best Melodic Rap Performance’ category for her role in ‘Wait for U’, a 2022 hit by Future featuring Drake while  Burna Boy was nominated for 'Best Global Music Album’ and ‘Best Global Music Performance’ categories. Tems emerged victorious in a highly contested category where she went head to head with the likes of DJ Khaled SZA, Latto, Kendrick Lamar and Jack Harlow. This award makes Tems the first female AfroBeats Artiste to win the Grammy Awards. Unfortunately, for Burna Boy, he lost both nominations to Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini & Nomcebo Zikode for "Bayethe".⁣ Burna Boy had won same category with his album 'TWICE AS TALL' in the previous edition, making him the first Afrobeat artiste to win a major category in the Grammys.
